T-Shirt Design

From Concept to Production

This t-shirt was designed as a personal apparel project inspired by a live performance by the rock band Sleep Token. From initial hand sketches to digital refinement and final garment production, the project documents my full creative process, including illustration development, typography integration, layout refinement, and file preparation for print. This piece demonstrates my ability to translate conceptual inspiration into a cohesive wearable design while maintaining attention to composition, production requirements, and visual impact. The project also reflects my ability to adapt visual language to a specific audience while ensuring wearability and print feasibility.

For the 2024 Murray State University All Campus Sing competition, the MSU Ads Club performed a themed medley of nostalgic television advertisement jingles under the title “Heard It Through the Grapevine.” I volunteered to design the performance shirts worn by members during the event.

The shirt design translated the playful, advertisement-focused theme into a cohesive visual identity that was both stage-visible and brand-consistent. The final design balanced bold typography and clear composition to ensure readability under performance lighting while reinforcing the club’s creative identity.
